Fees & Insurance

What is your fee?

My fee for a 50-minute session is $200. This fee is commensurate with other mental health professionals in the Bay Area with similar levels of experience and expertise. I also reserve a limited number of hours for clients in need of a reduced fee. If my reduced fee appointments are full, I am happy to refer you to a colleague or community clinic who is able to offer a lower fee. Please click here for a list of sliding scale psychotherapy clinics in the Bay Area.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently do not accept insurance. If your health insurance plan allows you to choose an “out-of-network provider,” you may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for sessions attended and paid for.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency item or service.

  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain the items or services from this provider.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
